Anza-Borrego Foundation

DharmaTech provided the Anza-Borrego Foundation (ABF) with a dynamic website with features such as moderation and a searchable list of upcoming events.  ABF is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving California's Anza-Borrego State Park.  ABF works to conserve lands in and around the Park, educate the public on its resources, and support research relevant to the region.

Before working with DharmaTech, the process of updating the ABF website was, in the words of its staff, a "time-consuming, expensive, and inefficient process."  To make a simple content edit, staff had to send information to a third-party designer, who charged an hourly rate to make the change.

The system provided by DharmaTech allows ABF to:

  • Have a dynamic website that all ABF staff can use.
  • Utilize moderation to ensure consistent branding and messaging throughout the site (ABF's Communications Coordinator approves all content before it is published).
  • Display a dynamically searchable list of upcoming events and calendar items.  ABF's list of upcoming events only displays future events; once an event is complete, it is automatically removed from the list.  Visitors to the site can search the upcoming events list or the calendar by event type or topic.  ABF staff can easily change the teaser text and images for each event.

The graphic design for the site was done by Ireland Graphics.
