B.W. Bastian Foundation
One of our gracious funders, the B.W. Bastian Foundation needed a website for the 21st Century. The basic goal of this project was to move away from a static, one page website to one where the Bastian Foundation staff (one person actually) could do all of their grant management online. Their needs were simple: making their entire grant process electronic and paperless with online grant applications and reports.
We built them a webform that allows potential grantees to apply online including the ability to upload all of the required documents. This simplified process is totally paperless and much smoother.
We often write "throw-away" code for one-off tasks or to scratch our own itch. The source might not be immediately useful for others but the lessons learned are invaluable. We always try to blog, tweet, or share those lessons when appropriate.
