Summit Cheeseburger
Summit Cheeseburger approached Dharmatech because of our strengths in configuring, supporting and developing with Drupal. The owner of the site already had most of summitcheeseburger.com finished including some impressive work calculating nearby peaks and querying by elevation.
A few remaining pieces needed to be implemented before the project would be considered 'ready to go live.' Aside from our normal consulting around 'best practices' with Drupal performance, optimization, module functionality, backups, etc. We also developed a module that would generate nodes from embedded images. This allowed Views to present 'cheeseburgers on every summit' in all of it's rich, beefy glory including Lightbox2 support.
The version in subversion repository uses the data_table prefix on all tables to add Data support so the site owner can maintain the tables and so the image titles/filenames can be used with the summit datasets.
It's not an official Drupal contrib module and it's unlikely there will be any future versions. If you're interested in trying it out, simply:
svn co https://svn.dharmatech.org/svn/custom/modules/image_node_reference
We often write "throw-away" code for one-off tasks or to scratch our own itch. The source might not be immediately useful for others but the lessons learned are invaluable. We always try to blog, tweet, or share those lessons when appropriate.
